American Girl Store–Chicago
I had never heard of American Girl before. I had friends visiting from out of town-not coming to see me or even the city of Chicago. They were coming to go to the American Girl store. Apparently you have to buy something just so you can walk around the city with the American Girl bag.
So Kate and I decided to go see what all of the hooplah was about! We had so much fun! There was of course selecting the doll–I was amazed to see lots of little girls walking around with their dolls both dressed identically
Kate picked her favorite, Samantha. It is amazing–other than the fact that Kate has blue eyes, the doll looks quite a bit like her. After we chose the doll, it was off to the tea party for the three of us. It really did seem quite expensive until we were actually there–well worth the money, I must say! It was just a fun afternoon with my little girl!
